How this site remembers you

This privacy notice applies to luckywave1.fr, an independent information and marketing portal. We are not Luckywave itself – that operator runs its own platform at its own domain and maintains a separate privacy policy for players who register there. What follows covers only the data we collect when you browse or contact this review site.

We take your privacy seriously. Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have enforceable rights over the information we hold, and this document explains what we gather, why we need it, and how you can control it.

The analytics question

When you visit luckywave1.fr, we collect technical information automatically: your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, timestamps and referrer URLs. This data arrives through server logs and analytics scripts embedded in every page.

We process it for three reasons. First, to keep the site secure – spotting unusual traffic patterns, blocking automated scraping and preventing denial-of-service attempts. Second, to understand which articles are read and which are ignored, so we can write more of what helps. Third, to measure how visitors arrive here, whether from search engines, social media or direct links.

The lawful basis for this processing is legitimate interest: running an information service requires knowing how that service is used, and the data involved carries minimal privacy risk when handled properly. You can object to this processing – see Your options below.

Scripts we do not control

This portal uses Google Analytics to count visits and track navigation. Google's own servers receive your IP address, and Google sets cookies in your browser to distinguish new visitors from returning ones. We have enabled IP anonymisation, which truncates your address before it is stored, and we have signed Google's data-processing agreement as required under UK GDPR.

Advertising scripts from third-party networks may also appear on this site. Those networks – typically affiliate platforms or ad exchanges – drop their own cookies to measure clicks, attribute conversions and personalise the ads you see elsewhere on the web. We do not control what those networks collect, and each operates under its own privacy policy. Good to know: the major networks (Google, Facebook, Amazon) publish opt-out tools at youronlinechoices.com and aboutads.info.

If you contact us through the form or by email, we collect whatever you choose to send: your name, email address, the question itself and any attachments. That information lives in our inbox and is used only to answer your query. We keep correspondence for two years after the last exchange, then delete it. We never sell contact details, never add you to a mailing list without consent, and never share your message with the operator unless you explicitly ask us to forward it.

Your options

UK GDPR grants you eight rights over your personal data, and we honour all of them:

Right What it means
Access Request a copy of everything we hold about you
Rectification Correct inaccurate information
Erasure Ask us to delete your data when we no longer need it
Restriction Limit how we process your information while a dispute is resolved
Portability Receive your data in a machine-readable format
Objection Stop processing based on legitimate interest or direct marketing
Withdraw consent Revoke permission for any consent-based processing
Lodge a complaint Raise concerns with the UK supervisory authority

To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our reply, you can escalate the matter to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, which supervises data protection in the UK.

We never sell your data to third parties. Analytics providers, hosting companies and affiliate networks process information on our behalf under data-processing agreements, but they act as processors, not independent controllers. No commercial list broker, no data aggregator, no lead-generation outfit receives a file from us.

Retention and security

Server logs are kept for 90 days, then automatically purged. Contact-form submissions stay in our inbox for two years after the conversation ends. Analytics data is held indefinitely in aggregated form – individual session details are anonymised after 26 months, in line with Google's retention settings.

We use HTTPS encryption across the entire site, so data in transit is protected. Hosting is provided by a reputable European data centre, and backups are encrypted at rest. Only authorised personnel can access the inbox and server logs, and that access is logged for audit purposes.

Under-18s and shared devices

This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you share a device with someone under 18, consider using parental-control software such as Net Nanny, Qustodio or the built-in controls in Windows, macOS, iOS and Android to restrict access to gambling-related content.

If we discover that a child has sent us personal information, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians who believe their child has contacted us should write to [email protected] so we can remove the data from our records.

Revisions

We may update this privacy notice from time to time – typically when we add a new analytics tool, change hosting providers, or respond to regulatory guidance. Material changes will be announced on the homepage, and the "last updated" date below will move forward. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

For questions about this policy, or to request a copy of the data we hold, contact [email protected].
